Which fabric do upholsterers choose for a sedari?

For a classic, rich look is usually velour or velvet chosen. Anyone who pays particular attention to wear resistance will find: chenille, which is more densely woven and withstands daily use well. For a modern, quiet salon, the coarsely woven qualities such as MIXY and GABO popular; GABO is moreover water-repellent and made of recycled yarn.

How many meters do you need for a sedari?

A sedari usually runs along two or three walls, so measure each sofa part separately: the length and width of the mattresses, the back cushions and the side cushions. Add a margin per cushion for seams and turning. If you are working with a striped or patterned fabric, calculate extra meters so that the pattern can fit from cushion to cushion.

Order the entire quantity at once

upholstery fabric is dyed per batch and there may be a small color difference between two batches. This is hardly noticeable with one separate cushion, but it is noticeable with a complete salon that is added later. Therefore, it is better to order everything you need at once, including a small reserve for repair work.
