Threaded insert nuts (Rampa)

A threaded insert (screw-in nut) is a nut with an external wood thread and an internal metric thread. This allows you to create a threaded connection in wood for a bolt or threaded rod, for example in furniture construction or for threaded stem casters. The connection can be assembled and disassembled repeatedly.

Choose the size that fits your bolt or threaded rod: M8 for an 8 mm thread, M10 for a 10 mm thread. Our threaded inserts are 25 mm long. The M8 has a 14 mm flange, the M10 a 16 mm flange. This ensures that the bolt or threaded rod will fit.

First, drill a hole using the correct pilot drill size and screw in the threaded insert with an Allen key. For M8, drill approx. 10.7 to 11 mm and use an 8 mm Allen key; for M10, approx. 12 to 12.5 mm and a 10 mm Allen key. These are the measurements for the brass versions. The insert cuts its own thread in soft wood and chipboard.

Threaded inserts are suitable for soft woods and chipboard, while the M10 in galvanized steel is also suitable for MDF and plywood. The self-tapping external thread grips into the wood. If you are in doubt about a hardwood, please ask us via WhatsApp. The M8 and M10 per 100 pieces are made of brass, the large M10 pack is made of galvanized steel; the material is specified for each product.

You can purchase them per 100 pieces or in bulk packaging: M8 x 25 mm per 2500 pieces and M10 x 25 mm per 2000 pieces. The screw-in nut (rampa) is also available per 100 pieces.
