Spray adhesive for foam and fabric
Spray adhesive is the quickest way to bond foam, wadding and fabric. Palty Lijmspray 500ml is suitable for cold-cure foam and polyether and has an adjustable nozzle. For areas that can get hot, such as dashboards, headlinings, motorhomes and boats, choose a heat-resistant spray adhesive: the heat-resistant spray adhesive 500 ml and the heat-resistant spray adhesive from Palty withstand temperatures up to around 110 °C. Lijmspray HEAVY DUTY ADHESIVE 500 ml is a fast-drying SBR rubber-based spray adhesive for foam, floor coverings, cork and rubber, among others, with temperature resistance up to 55 °C. Contact adhesive for wood, faux leather and foam
Bijlard Contact Adhesive 1 litre is a neoprene-based contact adhesive that you apply with a brush or spatula. It is suitable for wood, foam, textiles, faux leather, rubber and metal, is moisture-resistant and heat-resistant up to +70 °C. One litre bonds around 2 to 2.5 m² when applied to both surfaces. Apply the adhesive to both surfaces, leave it to dry for 10 to 15 minutes and then press the parts firmly together.
Glue tanks for professional use
If you regularly bond large surfaces, a glue tank lets you work faster than with individual aerosol cans. The contact adhesive glue tank 19 litres is ready to use without a compressor, which is handy for on-site work. The Lijmtank HEAVY DUTY ADHESIVE 21.8 kg is intended for furniture upholstery, floor and wall coverings. You will find spray guns and hoses under glue tanks and accessories. Wood glue, fabric glue and glue gun
For wooden joints in frames and furniture, use PVAc wood glue. Wood glue 1KD2 meets NEN-EN 204 D2 and is intended for indoor use. Wood glue 1KD3 meets D3 and is suitable for damp rooms and outdoor applications without direct exposure to the weather. For small repairs to fabric, leather or felt, Gütermann Fabric Glue HT2 is handy: it dries clear and stays flexible. For quick jobs there is the 40 watt glue gun with matching glue sticks.
Tips for a good bond
- Make sure both surfaces are clean, dry and free of grease.
- Follow the instructions on the packaging and, if in doubt, test on an offcut first.
- If you are working with PVC faux leather, check whether the adhesive is compatible with the plasticisers in the material.
- Remove adhesive residue with Citronel Adhesive Remover 500 ml, based on citrus terpenes.
