Carpet tape is used to keep rugs and runners in place, to secure joins between two pieces of carpet or floor covering and to flatten corners that curl up. This reduces the risk of tripping and keeps the rug lying neatly. For the best adhesion, make sure the surface is clean, dry and dust-free, and test on an inconspicuous spot first on delicate floors.
