Piping and cord are available at BLADI for finishing upholstered furniture and cushions. You'll find braided cotton piping cord in 3, 4, 5 and 6 mm to sew into fabric, as well as stitching twine on a 500-gram roll. The piping cord is ordered by the metre.
Piping cord by the metre in four thicknesses
The white, braided cotton piping cord is ordered by the metre, in a diameter of 3, 4, 5 or 6 mm. You sew the cord into a strip of fabric and then stitch that piping into the seam. This gives cushions, seats and backrests a crisp, defined edge that emphasises the shape of the furniture. Thin piping looks subtle and refined, while thicker piping stands out more on large seat cushions.
Stitching twine for sewing work
The stitching twine comes on a 500-gram spool. You can use it to mark fabric, secure temporary seams or trace patterns, among other things.

How much piping cord do you need?
Because you order piping cord by the metre, you buy exactly the length that goes round your cushion or seat: measure the circumference and add a small allowance for the join. For the fabric of your piping, choose for example a tapestry fabric or a plain upholstery fabric.
