chenille owes its soft, velvety appearance to a caterpillar-like yarn that catches the light beautifully. Boucle is made up of small loops and gives a grainy, woolly structure. Both bring depth to a solid color, making a sofa or armchair look calm without becoming flat.

✅ Look at the light: structural fabrics change tone depending on the angle at which the light falls.

✅ Pets in the house? With loop structures such as bouclé, nails can pull on the loops. A densely woven one chenille is then the safer choice.

✅ Consider the sitting time: a chair that is used intensively every day requires a denser weave than a decorative armchair.

✅ Follow the cleaning code: This is stated per substance and determines whether you can clean with water or a solvent.

Design meubelstoffen vallen op door structuur, patroon of kleurstelling. Begin met de ruimte: in een rustige woonkamer kom je met de zandkleuren, het witte en het taupe van de Dubai-collectie een heel eind, terwijl de grafische patronen WAVE, URBAN, NECTAR en VERZACE een bank of fauteuil tot blikvanger maken.

Let daarna op de technische gegevens. De Dubai-collectie is 100% polyester, 600 g/m², 140 cm breed en haalt 100.000 Martindale. De bouclé chenille stoffen zijn 100% polyester, 480 g/m², 140 cm breed en halen meer dan 80.000 Martindale. Beide groepen zijn dus geschikt voor intensief gebruik.

• Dubai-collectie A tot en met G: zachte, geweven chenille in zandkleuren, wit en taupe. Geschikt voor stoffering, gordijnen, kussens en bedding. Meer in deze stijl vind je bij chenille meubelstoffen.
• WAVE: een golvend patroon, speels maar rustig.
• URBAN: abstracte lijnen en grafische vormen voor een modern interieur.
• NECTAR: een geometrisch, honingraatachtig motief.

Kies op gebruik:

• Bank en hoekbank: Dubai of bouclé chenille, beide met hoge slijtvastheid.
• Fauteuil of hocker: een patroonstof als blikvanger.
• Eetkamerstoelen: een effen Dubai-kleur of een rustig patroon; reken gemiddeld 1,5 tot 2 meter voor een stoel zonder armleuningen.
• Kussens en hoofdborden: combineer een patroon met een effen stof.

Gebruik een patroonstof als accent en kies voor de rest een effen kleur uit dezelfde tint, bijvoorbeeld een Dubai-kleur naast een bouclé chenille. Houd bij een patroon rekening met de aansluiting: reken extra meters en leg alle delen in dezelfde richting. Bekijk de stof altijd bij daglicht en bij avondverlichting voordat je bestelt.
